I've been thinking about you lately...

Yay! This week's post is from my mom Marian! I always hear: "Your Mom is amazing," as everyone who meets her or hears about her, loves her. After reading this, I have a feeling you will too

The background: I've asked a few women to write guest posts for our Grounded Goodness blog, and they have responded with love and generosity! Over the next few months, you will see their answers to this question: "What is one thing you would like women to know, right now?" - Amanda

Hello my good friend. I’ve been thinking about you lately.

I want to send this note to make sure you know how important you are to me. I want to share with you what I know.

You are kindness. You look out for those around you. You make the day better. You lighten the load. Just by being you.

You are fire. Feisty. You stand up when you need to, not only for yourself but for those too tired to fight. You are everything that is right in this world.

You are determination. You get an idea that makes your eyes sparkle. And you go for it. So what if it hasn't been done before?  You’ll sort your way through. You’ll work. You’ll sweat. You’ll rework. Until you get to where you need to go.

You are laughter. You see the humor in every day things. I’ve seen your sense of humor get you through the tough times and make the good times even better. It’s a good day when you can get someone to laugh. Get a complete stranger to laugh?  Even better. That’s a really good day.

You are wisdom. And quiet strength. You listen without judging. You share your insight. You are the safe space to voice thoughts, fears, dreams.

You are all of this and more. I am a better person because of you. I am so grateful to have you in my life and am blessed to call you friend.

Love you lots.

PS. Who is this friend? This mixture of peace and wisdom? Kindness and laughter? Light?

Look in the mirror my friend. Look in the mirror.

This is you.

You are this amazing person.

I was asked by Amanda: “What is the one thing you would want women to know?” I would want women treat themselves the same way they would treat their best friend. Be good to yourself. And know just how amazing you really are.

Take good care of you.
