Don’t be a dick...to yourself.

What happens when you trust yourself? When you listen to your gut?

Can you remember a time when you didn’t listen to your intuition? What happened?

I’m curious to know...because we’ve all not listened to ourselves at some point. And that’s okay. It’s not about getting into the sh*thole of shame (because that’s a DEEP one, isn’t it? Kinda dark and smelly). It’s about acknowledging it, and keeping on keeping on. A practice, right?

When I don’t listen to my gut, it can be painful. When I make friends with people because I think I should, or to be cool...and it ends in hurt feelings (for both of us)? When I don’t trust my spidey senses on business collaborations...and it ends up falling apart (on both ends)?  When I don’t listen to my body...and end up sick, tired, and super grumpy-pants (and my grumpy-pants are uncomfortable AF)?

Often, I trust my intuition. But sometimes, I choose not to.

And my intuition is telling me that you do the same.

We are good at trusting our gut. If you’re here reading this, you know how to trust your intuition.

The part that messes us up is when we don’t listen to our gut...and then we beat ourselves up for not doing better. We’re absolute dicks to ourselves, aren’t we?

It’s time we let go of that.

And simply keep practicing. Keep listening to our intuition, as scary (or as simple) as that may be. And then maybe, just maybe, we can learn to have fun with it.

You with me?

My gut is telling me to wrap this up. As always, please leave a comment below if this blog post has inspired something in you. I’d love to hear from you!

We’ve got this,

Amanda

PS. I am trusting my gut right now, as I embark on my road trip this week (I’ve just gotta do this road trip, even though I’m not fully sure what’s going to happen yet!). If you’re interested in talking more about ‘trusting yourself’ and other topics in person, find me in Saskatchewan this summer so we can connect!
